Hubert Hu, having his bachelor's degree from the University of Science and Technology of China, Master's degree from the University of Sheffield, Doctor's degree from the University of East Anglia. He was ranked as one of Hefei High-level Talents (Category D) with his Associate Senior Title. His research focus on computer vision, machine learning, deep learning, etc.
He has taken part in a series of famous international conferences and delivered many important reports, which including the 24th International Conference on Methods & Models of Automation & Robotics (MMAR) of 2019, the IEEE Conference on Control Technology and Applications (CCTA) of 2019, the International Conference on Networks, Blockchain and the Internet of Things of 2020 and the 28th ACM International Multimedia Conference. In 2018, he was invited as an overseas scholar by the Central China Normal University Young Scholars Forum to deliver reports. Currently, he is a permanent reviewer of a batch of well-known international academic conference journals, such as IEEE Transactions on Image Processing, Pattern Recognition, Neurocomputing, AAAI, IJCAI, CVPR, ICCV, BMVC. And he is also a permanent invited guest of Newcastle, a Google Official Machine Learning Developer group.
As a principal investigator, he has undertaken and participated in more than ten important scientific research programs, which including the programs from the Natural Science Foundation of the United Kingdom, the R&D programs from Lenovo and Huawei, the programs from Newcastle University, the programs from the University of Northumbria at Newcastle, and the programs from China Sound Valley Innovative Product Industrialization. He has applied for 10 invention patents. There are 14 representative papers have been published in AAAI, ACMMM, Neurocomputing and other well-known conference journals.
He also won a lot of significant honors and awards, such as the third prize in Anhui of the first edition of Global Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition for the USTC elites, National Top 100 (2021), the Technology Progress Award of 2022 of Anhui Robots Institution and Hefei New Generation Artificial Intelligence Industry Development Alliance, etc.
Currently, Mr. Hu Bingzhang is the Director of the Research Institute and Deputy Director of AI Algorithm Department of Hefei CAS Dihuge Automation Co., Ltd., concurrently serving as the Master's Tutor of the Zhongyuan University of Technology, and Postgraduate Tutor of professional degree of the Southern University of Science and Technology.
