Embedded vision refers to the use of computer vision in embedded systems. Historically, digital image processing began to be used and developed in industrial and scientific fields as image processing algorithms were run on powerful PCs. Embedded vision is becoming increasingly important today as new processors with high computing power, low cost and low power consumption make it possible to run image processing on small mobile devices without the need for a PC.
