A light field camera simulates the compound eye structure of arthropods. By adding a micro lens array (MLA) in front of the imaging chip in the traditional camera imaging path, multiple small eyes (Ommatidia) can simultaneously capture surrounding light and integrate this light information to achieve some special effects, such as digital zoom, adjusting depth of field, and reconstructing three-dimensional scenes from a single image.
