Q: Under the background of Made in China 2025, equipment manufacturing is the core and pillar of the manufacturing industry. What is your company's development plan and strategy in 2021? How to better apply the company's products to the equipment manufacturing industry?
A: Made in China 2025 is a national strategy that will transform China from a manufacturing power to a manufacturing power. Advanced manufacturing equipment will penetrate into more emerging industries and fields, such as advanced rail transit equipment, biomedicine and high-performance medical devices. In these emerging industries and fields, more and more intelligent equipment will be applied and upgraded toward automation. Machine vision, as an essential sensor in these intelligent equipment, is bound to get more applications. Therefore, we will rely more on Made in China 2025, closely follow the footsteps of Made in China 2025, combined with China's 14th Five-Year Plan, to develop more emerging industries and fields, including advanced rail transit, electronic semiconductors, medical devices and biopharmaceuticals. Learn more about the demand for products in the corresponding industry, match the existing product portfolio with the application in the industry, and accelerate the promotion of products. At the same time, accelerate the development of new products to meet the new requirements of the industry, to meet the application needs of customers.
Q: In the next two to three years, which end product areas do you think will see growth or new market demand for machine vision applications in China and globally? How will your company deal with it?
Answer: The Chinese market has always been an active market in the field of machine vision technology. It can be said that it covers a variety of application fields, and many new application fields have emerged in recent years. Overall, I think the key growth in the machine vision market in China in the next two to three years will be mainly in electronic semiconductors, rail transit, biopharmaceuticals, and medical devices. The electronic semiconductor industry has always been a key industry for machine vision applications. With the continuous update of smart phones, more new mobile phones and the launch of 5G mobile phones mean that the manufacturing technology of mobile phones will be continuously upgraded, which will inevitably generate more application demands, and also put forward higher requirements for machine vision. For example, more detection equipment will be updated to the direction of high-speed detection, which requires the camera to improve the frame rate at the same resolution. For this reason, we launched 10 GigE camera, which has 10 times the bandwidth of gigabit network camera, and the frame rate can be up to 1578fps. Rail transit is one of the key areas of national development, and speeding up the construction of urban agglomeration rail transit is also the focus of the Fourteenth Five-Year Plan. As a result, there will be more application requirements. At present, 25MP camera is mainly used in railway industry. With the continuous improvement of application requirements, 65MP camera will be widely used. For this reason, we also launched 65MP 10,000MB network interface camera for railway industry, which adopts high IP protection level design, which is very suitable for outdoor applications. For biopharmaceuticals and medical devices, it is a key growth point in the future. In 2020, we suffered from the COVID-19 epidemic. Through this epidemic, we also saw that many tests in the medical industry used medical devices, and put forward high requirements for pharmaceutical technology. Many pharmaceutical raw materials will be tested by vision, for which we also launched IP 65/67 and IP 69K protection level cameras, which can resist the cleaning of a certain concentration of hydrogen peroxide, so as to ensure the safety and health in the pharmaceutical process. These are all strategies that we have in potential areas of the future.
Q: Cross-boundary cooperation and technology integration is the current trend and opportunity of the entire machine vision industry. With the current innovative technologies, such as edge computing, artificial intelligence, deep learning, embedded vision, 5G+, etc., which innovative technologies will your company focus on in the future?
A: Cross-boundary cooperation and technology integration are the inevitable direction for us product developers to consider, especially in the current technological environment. The current innovative technologies you mentioned, such as edge computing, artificial intelligence, deep learning and embedded vision technology, are all hot technologies at present and also the direction of future technologies. We also have layout and corresponding product support in these fields. Edge computing is a technical concept put forward in the context of the Internet of Things. It is mainly to sink the data computing from the cloud to the edge, so as to reduce the data load on the cloud. This requires that devices at the edge can directly support edge computing or communicate with devices at the edge computing. For this reason, we launched camera LX-VA series with preprocessing function, which can directly preprocess the original data and send the final effective data to the cloud or devices at the edge. For artificial intelligence and deep learning, more is a requirement of software algorithm level, to the requirement of the camera is a camera can carry on the algorithm to calculate directly, without external PC, because the application of artificial intelligence and deep learning situations may it anywhere, for this, we also introduced the AX series open one-piece computing platform camera, The camera has its own internal operating system and GPU, which can directly perform algorithm calculation, which well meets the needs of artificial intelligence and deep learning applications. For embedded vision, we also launched SDK compatible with a variety of embedded systems, including ARM, Naidia and other platforms. The above are a series of innovative products launched by us in the field of technology convergence.
Q: Visionchina2021 (Shanghai) Exhibition, what latest technologies and products will your company bring to the exhibition? What are the highlights of the main product?
A: The main thing we brought to the exhibition is the LXT series 10,000MB network interface camera, which we launched last year. On the basis of the original models in this series, we have added many new models. The current series ranges from 600,000 to 65 megapixels. The frame rate can reach 1578 FPS at 600,000 megapixels, which is good for some ultra-fast applications, such as high-speed 3D imaging. The highest pixel in the series, so far we have achieved 65 megapixels with a frame rate of 18 FPS, which is well suited for high-pixel applications such as monitor detection and railway applications. In addition this series camera of several models, we adopted the latest SONY fourth generation back according to the type of chip, such as 24 million types of cameras, relative to the second generation, the third generation of chips, back according to the type of the fourth generation of chips, has higher quantum efficiency, therefore higher sensitivity, very suitable for application in semiconductor chip testing at a high speed. In addition, the camera has HDR function with a dynamic range of more than 80dB, which is ideal for applications with strong light and shade changes, such as outdoor applications. In addition to the universal 10 gigabit network port camera, we have also introduced several 10 gigabit network cameras with optical fiber interface. Compared with the networked camera, the optical fiber interface camera has the advantages of long transmission distance and strong anti-interference ability. The longest transmission distance can be up to 10 km, which is very suitable for some ultra-long distance transmission applications, such as port and environmental monitoring and other outdoor applications. In addition, on the basis of standard Wan Zhao net mouth camera, we have introduced a web camera with JPEG preprocessing functions, can be effectively to compression of the original image to the camera, on the basis of Wan Zhao network bandwidth, more speed up the transmission of data, and effectively reduces the performance requirements for PC, very suitable for application in the monitoring system of the camera, For example, sports analysis and monitoring systems. All the above are our newly developed new products, which will be displayed in this exhibition.
