The Phoenix Polarization Camera uses Sony's IMX250MZR CMOS polarization sensor. This 5 MP global shutter sensor is based on the popular IMX250 Sony Pregius CMOS mono sensor, with a polarization filter added to the pixels. This sensor has four different directional polarization filters (0 °, 90 °, 45 °, and 135 °) on every four pixels. The Triton polarization camera uses four directional filters to perform on camera processing and outputs the intensity and polarization angle of each image pixel
