Teledyne announces newest version of the Sapera Vision software including Rotated Object Detection
Teledyne DALSA is pleased to announce its latest Sapera? Vision Software Edition is available. This release includes enhanced versions of its AI training graphical tool Astrocyte? 1.50, and its image processing and AI libraries Sapera Processing 9.50.
Teledyne DALSA’s Sapera Vision Software provides field-proven image acquisition, control, image processing, and artificial intelligence functions to design, develop and deploy high-performance machine vision applications such as surface inspection on metal plates, location and identification of hardware parts, plastic sorting, and PCB inspection.
"This new version of Sapera Vision Software provides a rich set of new and improved features allowing flexible design and accelerated execution of AI-enabled applications," said Bruno Menard, Software Director for Teledyne DALSA. “Among the key features of this release the Rotated Object Detection algorithm outputs position and orientation at inference time for more precision when detecting targets and defects.”
New features in this release include:
- Rotated Object Detection for precise location and orientation of objects/defects
- New segmentation algorithm with higher accuracy and faster training and execution
- Speed improvement via NVIDIA RTX 4000 series and performance power mode management
- Faster training time with usage of multiple GPUs and mixed-precision quantization
- New series of AI sample applications based on Qt/C++ and .NET/C#
- Support RGB packed (24-bit) in AI inference
- Ability to acquire live video into sample applications via Teledyne’s Spinnaker acquisition API.
