Side cracking is always the difficulty and pain point of nut manufacturing industry, cracking nut brings great hidden trouble to product quality. OPENEX has been commissioned to develop a customized model for this pain point. A special bowl - shaped light source is used to separate the crack from other information on the nut surface.

Because of the special shape of the detection product and the shedding of the surface material, it poses a great challenge to the information separation. Lighting mode and parameter adjustment in algorithm become the key of detection. In the end, the OPENEX technical team managed to reduce the misjudgment rate to less than 5%, overcoming industry challenges and meeting customer requirements.
