YaoYing Optoelectronics | 2021 China Machine Vision for Intelligent Manufacturing Innovation and Development Conference
2021-07-02

Yoyo Optoelectronics will participate in the China Machine Vision for Intelligent Manufacturing Innovation and Development Conference 2021 to be held at the Beijing International Convention Centre on July 21-22, and will exhibit Corning Varioptic liquid lenses, XARION's optical microphones, and SILIOS and Salvo's multi-spectral product series.

Corning Varioptic liquid lenses are adjustable focal lenses based on the principle of electrical wetting, where the focal distance can be adjusted by controlling the optical focus of the lens through voltage. The long service life, compact construction, high resistance to mechanical shock and vibration, and low power consumption of liquid lenses provide an unparalleled solution for many industrial, medical, and consumer electronics applications requiring autofocus. Since its introduction, more than 3 million liquid lenses have been used in a wide range of applications such as code readers, machine vision, medical imaging, robotics, biometrics, lasers and more.

The XARION optical microphone cleverly uses a patented optical design to measure the light reflected back from the sound field by the effect it has on the light. The data is then statistically and analytically analysed and the machine's deep learning algorithms are used to achieve applications in industries such as process monitoring, non-destructive testing and ultrasonic sound field characterisation. The ultra-wide frequency spectrum and true temporal impulse response of the thin-film-free optical microphone provides a superior solution for laser additive processing, ultrasonic welding, inspection of chips, circuit boards and composite materials.

Both SILIOS and Salvo are specialists in the design and manufacture of micro-patterned filters, using different manufacturing processes but both aiming to produce channels of different spectra on the filter in the pixel arrangement of the image sensor. The multispectral filter and sensor are then aligned and packaged to make a multispectral sensor. Multispectral image sensors can be used to make multispectral cameras, and multispectral photoelectric sensors can be used to make spectrometers and biochemical testing devices such as PCR optical assays.
