Starting in September 2009, Basler will be adding new features to all of its new Scout and Pilot family of planar array cameras. Of these, more than 50 Scout cameras and 10 Pilot cameras will be fully equipped with the new firmware during production.
New features include: Exposure time is very short and delay trigger function, automatic gain and exposure function, full speed mirroring and multi-transfer through the free Pylon driver package, so that image data can be used on multiple computers at the same time.
Because Basler cameras are Genicam compliant, existing customers can use the new features without changing their software Settings. Of course, there will be no additional cost for any cameras with the new features, and the new features will be fully compatible with cameras with firmware revisions.
Basler product manager Werner Borchert explained: "The constant integration of new features with Basler cameras adds new value for our customers at a stable price level." "We have new features that make integration with our cameras easier, with faster traffic and better picture quality."
